devclicks.com: A web application resource

I have started this blog to keep devclicks.com users in the know. I built the site as a bit of a pet project for a domain name I bought about 6 months ago. devclicks is up in barebones format right now. Basically the theme of the site is web developer tutorials. There are tons of bookmarking sites out there (delicious,Dzone, digg, reddit), but none of these focus on tutorials for web developers who have to field all the tasks surrounding starting a web application from the ground up.

People that go it alone and build web applications wear the hat of “developer”,”designer”, and “sys-admin”. There is a ton to digest in each of these buckets. The goal of devclicks is to give users a place to store articles of reference for all of the above.

Features I hope to implement soon are:

– full text search box
– Custom Tagging for saved articles and filters for reviewing your bookmarks
– Pastebin code markup support for question/answer sections
– Publicly accessible Bookmarks based on Username

Features already in progress

– Password Reset
– New look for design
– Rss Feed (already completed)
– Ratings per article
